Collectively the people of the Tees Valley are amongst the least active in the country with nearly 30% of the population being sedentary and less than 50% of the adult population undertaking the minimum levels of physical activity recommended to promote good health. By being inactive the people of the Tees Valley are missing out on the social, mental, economic and physical health benefits of physical activity. This is why we will Inspire the Tees Valley to be more active.
