This course is designed by experts in child welfare, with your safety as a young coach in mind. It includes everything you need to know about safeguarding and child protection, making it an essential part of your coaching journey. As a young leader or assistant coach, you’ll learn how to spot and report any concerns, and who to talk to if you need help. Safeguarding your own welfare is just as important, so we’ll also guide you on where to find support. By taking this course, you’ll gain the confidence and knowledge to protect both yourself and the children you coach. Start your journey with us and become a great coach who knows how to keep everyone safe. This course is mapped to the CIMSPA Safeguarding and Protecting Children standard.

This practical and engaging workshop is designed to support volunteers and clubs across Tees Valley to build positive, effective relationships with the parents and carers of their members. Delivered in partnership with Working With Parents in Sport (WWPIS), a nationally recognised organisation specialising in parent engagement, this session will provide attendees with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to create a more supportive and collaborative club environment. WWPIS work across a wide range of sports in the UK, helping clubs, coaches, and National Governing Bodies to develop productive relationships with parents, ensuring they feel informed, engaged, and confident in their role within their child’s sporting journey.
