The role of the Events team is to ensure that all of UK Coaching’s events are co-ordinated, planned and delivered efficiently to provide exceptional experience to event attendees.
As Events Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the operational delivery of our online and regional events programmes, as well as supporting the Events Manager with our flagship events.
The successful candidate will need to be able to work with a range of people to co-ordinate, innovate and develop our events to continue to reach the highest standards.
This is an exciting opportunity as we plan to return to in-person event delivery and further develop our established online events programmes.
Main Purpose of Job:
To co-ordinate and manage the delivery of UK Coaching’s online and regional events programmes, and support flagship event operations.
Key Tasks:
Oversee and manage the planning and delivery of the online and regional events programmes
Deliver detailed event projects on time, within budget and to UK Coaching’s event standards, which meet (hopefully exceed) expectations
Set, communicate and maintain timelines and priorities on every project
Manage and coordinate all event logistics (e.g., venue, guests, catering and travel)
Provide and maintain accurate reports for all online and regional events
Provide high quality advice, support and guidance to the teams involved in event planning and delivery
Communicate strongly, maintaining and developing internal and external relationships
Problem solves as and when required, finding improved and innovative ways of working and creating high impact delivery
Prepare partner/supporter promotional information for events and liaising with the Marketing and Communications Department to publicise and promote the events
Raise event purchase orders and support event budget management
Support live event delivery and the hosting of online events
Support the Events Manager with flagship event operations and administration (data management, booking and nomination systems, joining instructions and communications).

Essential:
Proven experience of planning and delivering successful events both in-person and online
Outstanding organisation and time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure
Excellent IT skills, using MS Office
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and oral skills
Excellent ability to adopt a flexible work style in changing circumstances and shift priorities when necessary.
Ability to use initiative and take the lead in tasks instilling confidence that you will get the job done!
Ability to problem solve, use own initiative, calmly prioritise and multi-task
Ability to ensure that event guests feel welcome, supported and looked after
Team orientated with a ‘can do’ attitude, and experience working with different internal stakeholders to implement plans
