Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation (MFCF) is the Club’s independent charity of MFC established in 1996 by Club Chairperson, Steve Gibson. The Foundation uses the power of the MFC brand to engage with the community to provide opportunities for disadvantaged young people and adults to maximise their potential to achieve.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be involved in a growing and passionate team within an award-winning charity. In this role you will use the influence of sport to deliver positive change in the lives and behaviours of under-represented or vulnerable groups and individuals within the local community.
Working closely with the Education Manager you will be responsible for the coordination of all secondary education projects, including Premier League Inspires and Virtual Schools contracts. The role includes managing three full-time staff, reviewing and updating delivery content whilst developing and growing relationships with local schools and businesses
DUTIES
Support the development and promotion of a school’s package to generate income
Develop and grow strong partnerships with local schools and businesses and develop and maintain effective and positive relationships with wider stakeholders and partner organisations.
Oversee the management of staff against targets, outcomes and performance.
Support completion of programme monitoring and evaluation including funder reports.
Manage overall team budget, including ensuring individual programme budgets are on track.
Consult with the Designated Safeguarding Officer and Health and Safety Officer to understand and support the risks of delivery.
Working with the Data and Impact Coordinator and PR and Media Manager to review and analyse programme performance to ensure delivery is on track and to best communicate the impact of MFC Foundation programmes on participants.
Be committed to applying and promoting data protection across the charity
Work with other projects and teams to contribute to a coordinated approach including continuous professional development, quality assurance, training and events.
Be an active ambassador to promote equality, diversity and inclusion across the charity, positively challenge discrimination and be an advocate to promote change.
CANDIDATES MUST:
Have experience of working effectively with young people in educational settings and a knowledge of school systems, particularly, secondary education
Experience of developing content and delivering educational provision
Experience of leading on the management of multiple projects
Have an ability to positively influence a range of key stakeholders
Understand how to measure impact, both qualitatively and quantitatively
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively towards achieving set KPIs and outcomes
Demonstrate an understanding and passion for improving the ability, opportunity and dignity of disadvantaged people and under-represented groups or individuals in our communities
Have an excellent understanding, high regard and be committed to promoting safeguarding, welfare, equality, diversity and inclusion and be able to apply this within a quality service delivery
Have strong administrative, organisational and IT skills
Be eligible to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence, with access to a vehicle since travel will be required within the Tees Valley area.
Be flexible since hours of work will include some evenings and potentially weekends on match days.
