An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Public Health Protection Officer to join the Public Health team in Darlington Borough Council on a fixed term contract to support the Public Health team respond to the current COVID-19 pandemic. The role will support the Public Health team in working across the whole authority to monitor, manage and mitigate the impact of COVID-19 across the Borough of Darlington, reduce health inequalities and support the recovery of the borough from the pandemic.
The role will support the implementation the Darlington Local Outbreak Control Plan. They will work with the Director of Public Health and other public health colleagues, officers and elected members of the Council and other partners in the development and implementation of Local Outbreak Control Plan in Darlington.
We are looking for someone with experience of managing outbreaks of communicable disease, alongside relevant experience of interpreting data and working with a range of partners.
