PART TIME – 18HRS PER WEEK
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Media and Communications team as a part time Media Officer at Middlesbrough Football Club. The main purpose of the role will be to support the delivery of social media content for Middlesbrough FC Women.
The Role
Responsible for maximising use of club media platforms to entertain, inform and interact with supporters and other customers to promote MFC Women’s activities and services.
Contribute positive ideas for connecting and engaging with supporters, tapping into their passions and attracting them to games.
Assist with the maintenance of the website, including producing video and written content.
Respond to media enquiries and generate positive press and media coverage.
Help plan, execute and drive campaigns using new and traditional outlets and social media.
Assist with production of matchday programmes, including proofreading.
Photographing and filming events and activities for the Women’s team
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, a team player, with passion and enthusiasm for the business and will need to be prepared for an industry that demands flexibility and dedication. Have experience of using a variety of social media platforms, including but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn
Have experience in photography and filming
Have experience of updating websites and developing content, including designing posts and imagery
Ideally be working towards a qualification in Sports Media
Possess excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
Possess excellent IT skills
Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of safeguarding including principles, procedures and thresholds.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to adapt communication methods to best engage within a variety of settings
Be committed to attending training sessions and match days
Have a valid Driving license and access to transport
The role will be primarily based at Rockliffe Park Training Ground in Hurworth near Darlington, however, it will involve some working from home and travel to away matches.
