An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Media and Communications team at Middlesbrough Football
Club as a Media and Marketing Officer. Based at the club’s first-class training ground near the village of
Hurworth near Darlington. The main purpose of this role is to support the Head of Communications in a wideranging capacity.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation and delivery of content across the club’s media
channels. This will include writing, photography, capturing and editing video, and design work.
The role will involve covering all relevant club activity as required by the Head of Communications, including
men’s first team matches, Academy matches, events, and media relations and management of staff and player
interviews.
The role will also involve supporting the club’s Marketing and Partnerships departments.
Candidates should:
• Be able to demonstrate creativity and the skills required to drive the club’s digital media output.
• Have experience of using a variety of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok
and LinkedIn.
• Have experience of photography and filming.
• Have experience of using a website CMS.
• Possess excellent time management skills and be able to meet deadlines.
• Possess excellent IT skills. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud is desirable.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Be eligible to work in the UK.
