First Team Physiotherapist/Therapist (Full Time)
Middlesbrough Football Club is seeking to recruit a qualified Physiotherapist/Therapist to take a lead role in the rehabilitation of First Team players. Based at the Club’s First-Class Training Ground near the beautiful village of Hurworth near Darlington, the main purpose of this role is to facilitate the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and referrals of injuries for MFC’s First Team players.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Work closely with the other First Team Physiotherapists in leading the planning and delivery of rehabilitation for First Team players, with the emphasis being the rehabilitation of medium to long-term injured players.
To work closely with the Sport Science staff in the delivery of end-stage rehabilitation and to assist in the planning and delivery of successful return to training (RTT) of injured players.
To assist in the pre-training preparation of fit players both in the treatment room and in the gymnasium.
To provide regular reports and updates to the Head Physiotherapist, Head of Performance, and the Chief Medical Officer.
To be responsible for the maintenance and security of medical records and to ensure that all patient records are kept up to date and stored securely and confidentially.
To attend medical appointments with players when requested by the Head Physiotherapist.
To ensure that current regulations and protocols relating to Safeguarding are maintained and complied with.
Candidates should:
Hold a BSc (Hons) / MSc degree in Physiotherapy or BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation/Sports Therapy and have experience working in physiotherapy within elite sport.
Be a chartered physiotherapist and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and be registered with the Health Professional Council.
Be a member of BASRaT or the Society of Sports Therapists
Hold a current FA Level 5 Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMIF) certificate or equivalent.
Experience of working within a broad Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) whilst showing a strong operational ability with an attention to detail.
Possess excellent IT, presentation and written communication skills
Be eligible to work in the UK
