We are running OPEN workshops for anybody wishing to find out more and ‘audition’ to join the Emerging Young Dancers programme. How many dancers are recruited depends on the level of talent we discover.
When are the open workshops?
Thursday 25th October (1pm – 3pm) Middlesbrough Town Hall, Middlesbrough
Sunday 4th November (10am – 12pm) TIN Arts, Durham
Monday 5th November (10am – 12pm) Dance City, Sunderland
Monday 5th November (1pm – 3pm) Gosforth Civic Theatre, Newcastle upon Tyne
More information about the programme
The Emerging Young Dancers Programme provides regular technique training and creative development opportunities for talented young dancers (11-18yrs) with a learning disability or autism from across the North East of England. The programme runs throughout the year and is a mix of regular activities and intensive periods of working. EYD perform on a regular basis regionally and where possible nationally through partner organisations.
Joining the programme is FREE with some funding available to meet costs related to access, support and travel.
