What should our interventions look like?
Young people excluded from mainstream education are some of the most vulnerable within society and face poor health, educational, behavioural, societal and economic trajectories. Participation in sport and exercise can contribute to improved behavioural, health and educational outcomes for young people excluded from education and society. However, less is known about what enables and challenges participation, the factors which contribute towards implementation and how these schemes can be successfully maintained and adopted across society.
We would like to invite you to an event on Friday 4th December to discuss these questions. This ‘sandpit event’ conducted over Microsoft Teams aims to discuss these complications and best current practice. The event will involve talks from our academics and more importantly the chance to participate in a number of group discussions surrounding these issues.
To use your input effectively we will record the session and notes will be taken. We are doing this to shape future research, grants and projects. Your data will remain anonymous and will only be used with your consent. We will therefore ask you to read an information sheet and sign a consent form when signing up to the event.
