The Youth Hostel Association (YHA) are hosting their 2023 Festival of Walking supported by YHA, Ordnance Survey, The Ramblers, The British Mountaineering Council and Cotswolds Outdoor, to offer more opportunities to explore by walking and promote its many benefits.
The event, which is in its second year, offers free walks from Sunday 3 September to Thursday 19 October across England and Wales, and walkers can choose to join a led group-walk or to explore by themselves and take advantage of the open facilities at their local hostels.
YHA has also produced more than 180 free-to-download circular walking routes ranging from easy to challenging, over varying distances (1-20 miles) and across a range of terrains that include towns, cities and the wider countryside.
