Congratulations to Charlie who fought in the British Judo Championships on Saturday. He made the final (taking silver) in his first year as a Cadet (under 17 yrs) despite only being 13 (you commence this age group in the year that you are 14 and Charlie’s birthday was Sunday). 
Charlie has made the final of the British Championships four times in the last five years taking two British Titles and two British Silver medals.
2019 success – these achievements have been in 3 different weight groups due to Charlie gaining 10kg this year as part of his natural development as a young man.
Charlie will now be invited to join the (under 17yrs) England Talent Development Squad in 2020 – hopefully the start of his development into an international judo player.
