Aim – This workshop gives an introductory session into:
- What body image is
- Why body image matters and how it relates to the school environment
- Spotting some of the messages that can cause body insecurities in children and teens
- How body image relates to health – and how to approach positive health education without harming students’ body image
- An introduction to “joyful movement”, the power of representation and bringing these concepts into the school environment
- Food – spotlight on language and a brief overview of positive food education
- Tackling appearance based bullying and creating an inclusive environment for the body image of all children to thrive
