Location: County Durham Sport Offices, however you will be required to travel within County Durham and occasionally regionally / nationally.

About the role
County Durham Sport (CDS) is looking for a well organised, flexible, outgoing and experienced Workforce Development Co-ordinator to join the team. The individual will lead and oversee the organisations work on workforce (including coaching, volunteering and paid workforce) with a particular focus on tackling inactivity across the county. The post will play a key role in reducing levels of physical inactivity across County Durham by ensuring that the current and future workforce (both paid & voluntary) are skilled, knowledgeable, confident and capable to meet demand.
The successful candidate will drive and support the development of a local workforce across both traditional and new non-traditional agencies, support coaches & volunteers on their journey, increase the number of session leaders and activators at a local level and help develop their skills, insight and knowledge in relation to tackling physical inactivity in County Durham.
The successful candidate will be passionate about the impact sport and physical activity can have.
Previous experience and a proven track record of successfully delivering in a sports/coaching/ teaching / workforce development related environment are desirable.
