Sport and physical activity can have such a positive impact on people’s lives, including by supporting their mental health and wellbeing. The mental health charity Mind recently released their ‘Moving towards better mental health: Impact Report 2018-2021’, exploring how sport and activity is being harnessed as a tool for mental health support through their programmes.

The report covers key stats and impacts from across the charity’s work to get people active – for example, they have directly supported more than 259,000 people working or volunteering in the sport and physical activity sector since 2018. The report also captures the learnings from across Mind’s programmes, concluding with 10 recommendations for any organisation looking to support people to be active.
