The Yorkshire Cricket College are now recruiting for 2021 and are pleased to offer two qualifications for students aged 16-18.
• Level 3 BTEC In Business
• NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma In Sport
Both courses are delivered exclusively at Emerald Headingley Stadium, working in partnership with education provider SCL and delivery partner Pro Coach.
The newly launched Level 3 BTEC In Business qualification, aims to provides students aged 16-18 with an in-depth understanding of the operations and structures of businesses. It will also equip students with the skills required to succeed in employment or progress onto university.
Students will study a range of units across the two year course including: Event Management, International Business and Digital Marketing. Upon course completion learners will receive a qualification which is equivalent to 3 A Levels.
Alongside the academic studies, up to 6 hours of cricket will be included in the timetable with matches played during the summer. This will allow learners to have a unique and innovative learning experience and fulfil their passion for both business and cricket.
This qualification is a 2 year, full time course, students complete the NCFE whilst benefitting from cricket training and matches built into their timetable.
The curriculum offers a diverse range of modules from the Principles of Anatomy and Physiology to Sports Coaching, Development and Analysis leading to a NCFE Level 3 – the equivalent of 3 A-Levels.
This qualification will give graduates a spring board into their future and the opportunity to progress to university, apprenticeships or a career.
