Mark Fishpool – Programme Director, You’ve Got This
Funded by Sport England, You’ve Got This is one of twelve national place partnerships that aim to increase physical activity at a population level. YGT focusses on creating collaborative partnerships with local organisations and communities around a shared purpose of encouraging “Active Lives as a Way of Life”. Mark has been the Programme Director since April 2021, although he has been involved with the work of YGT since 2018.
Mark previously worked in the environmental sustainability sector for over 30 years, including 18 years as Director of the charity Middlesbrough Environment City. He brings to the Board a passion for physical activity and tackling the climate crisis, together with extensive knowledge of the relationship between physical activity and wider health outcomes, and organisational governance.
Mark is a keen amateur naturalist, commuter cyclist, walker and gardener.
