We are pleased to invite local organisations and community groups to a screening of the ‘People’s Emergency Briefing’—a compelling film exploring the risks that climate change and nature loss present to life in the UK and to our economy.
The film features highlights from the National Emergency Briefing held last November, bringing together leading UK experts in climate science, food security, public health, economics, national security and the natural environment. It provides a clear, evidence based overview of how climate change and nature loss are already affecting everyday life across Britain, while examining the challenges and opportunities ahead.
The initiative is non partisan and supported by a broad coalition of organisations, including the National Trust, the Church of England, the University of Exeter, the Royal Meteorological Society, WWF and the National Education Union.
The impacts of climate change are becoming increasingly significant for all of us. From supply chains and insurance costs to workforce wellbeing, infrastructure resilience, energy prices and long term investment, these issues are shaping the way organisations plan for the future.
Following the 50 minute screening, participants will be invited to take part in a facilitated 45 minute discussion exploring what these challenges and opportunities mean for organisations across the Tees Valley. The session will focus on building resilience, supporting sustainable growth and encouraging informed local dialogue.
