Equity
What is Sports Equity?
'Sports equity is about fairness in sport, equality of access recognising inequalities and taking steps to address them. It is about changing the culture and structures of sport to ensure that it becomes equally accessible to all members of society, whatever their age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality or social/economic status.'
Our Commitment to Sports Equity
The Tees Valley Sport Equity Policy and Equality Action Plan demonstrate the Partnership’s commitment to deliver, influence and advocate positive change in sport and physical activity in the Tees Valley.

Regional Sports Equity Network (RSEN)
The North East was the first region in the UK to have staff from each of the sports equity organisations dedicated to addressing inequalities in sport. Tees Valley Sport are an active member of the RSEN and as such our Action Plan follows the format of our RSEN Action Plan.
