| Course Description & Outcomes: | This course is aimed at qualified and trainee teachers and those supporting the management and delivery of high quality sport and physical education in schools. It aims to impart the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to deliver enjoyable and engaging lessons that encourage maximum participation and increase the understanding, skills, fitness and enjoyment of children. This certificated course is based on the Aviva Elevating Athletics teaching resource. It lasts six hours, including both practical and theory, and demonstrate progression across age groups in generic and athletic-specific running, jumping and throwing activities. |
