Tees Valley celebrate Swim21 success with Steve Parry

Swim21 accredited clubs in the Tees Valley celebrated their success in style recently alongside Olympic Bronze medallist Steve Parry at the Neptune, Middlesbrough. The event, organised by Tees Valley Sport, attracted nearly 30 swimmers aged 8-12 along with many parents, coaches and young volunteers.

Steve – who won his Bronze medal at the 2004 Athens Games - led a lively poolside session before instructing the swimmers in the pool. Using a mix of games to test reaction time and body position as well as improving the swimmers streamlining from dives, turns and during their strokes, Steve delivered an interactive and entertaining session, with even the coaches and young volunteers picking up hints and tips along the way.
