swim21 accreditation is the asa’s 'Quality Mark' for clubs and the asa’s way of ensuring every athlete – whatever their age or level of experience – belongs to a club that provides the best possible support and environment.

Eston ASC (Teaching), Thornaby ASC (Teaching), Billingham ASC (Skill Development & Foundation (Masters)) were all clubs in the Tees Valley that achieved the quality mark for the first time.

Loftus Dolphins (Skill Development & Foundation (Masters)), successfully re accredited after been accredited for 4 years.

Brenda Bland the asa North East Regional Swim 21 Chairperson, said: “There is a great deal of hard work involved in getting accreditation and it is a real credit to all the clubs and their volunteers that they have managed to achieve swim21”.

If any clubs in the region are interested in swim21 or require any support with the process then please contact the regional office on 01325 481260 or email swimnortheast@swimming.org. Alternatively, contact the Tees Valley Swimming Development Officer.
