Netball
Levels of participation in netball are growing fast, England Netball have 61,000 affiliated members, and at least one million women and girls play netball every week. England Netball aim to provide their members and partners with the best possible service and experience in sport. Thanks to England Netball's partnership with Sky Sports, netball is still the only women's team sport which enjoys weekly television coverage.
Local Success
Congratulations to English Martyrs School who have 2 teams that have qualified for the national netball finals. The U16 and U19 teams will travel to Basildon Sporting Village on the 17th March 2012. We would like to wish them good luck in the next round.

Back to Netball
'Back to Netball' provides a gentle introduction to the sport for female players over sixteen years of age. Sessions are coach led and cover basic skill development and court play. The emphasis of these sessions is on learning new skills and having fun playing Netball with friends. Whether it is about rediscovering sporting abilities you forgot you had or about getting active, these sessions cater for all abilities.

High 5
High 5 is the massively popular entry game of netball. It's a great way for kids to get active, enjoy themselves and make new friends. It's designed specifically for children, aged 9-11, and uses fun and variety to get them into the game, polish skills and aid fitness. High 5 is the fun, exciting way for 9-11 year olds to get involved in netball. Thousands of English primary schools are taking part and have seen their pupils become more confident, outgoing individuals through this engaging form of the game. High 5 involves rotating positions and leadership roles to encourage maximum participation and skill development. The game aligns with Key Stage 2 requirements helping to develop physical, social and tactical competencies through High 5 Netball.
Keeping youngsters healthy is high on the agenda for both parents and teachers, and England Netball knows how difficult it is to strike the balance between keeping children healthy yet happy. High 5 is a great way of keeping youngsters active and giving them real freedom to express themselves.
