School case studies
The Primary PE and Sport Premium is ring-fenced funding and may only be spent on the provision of PE and sport in schools. It should be used by schools to improve the quality and breadth of their PE and sport provision. Schools are free to determine how best to use the funding to do this. Best practice occurs where schools have a good understanding of their current strengths and weaknesses in PE and school sport and use the funding to improve, enhance and extend their provision.
sports coach UK in conjunction with the national partners (afPE, CSPN, Sport England, UK Active Kids and YST) have produced a range of case studies exemplifying the effective and sustainable use of the Primary PE and Sport Premium funding. To read the case studies please click here.
The following case studies demonstrate the ways in which schools across Tees Valley are using the funding to make a difference to their pupils. Click on a title to download the case study.
Tees Valley Sport would like to congratulate the schools on their good practice and thank them for sharing it with others.

Tees Valley Sport has developed a guide – ‘Champo – the champion of sport’ – to support primary schools to improve children’s outcomes through PE and sport. All schools were sent a copy of the guide in September 2014. To download a copy please click on the picture, alternatively email email@example.com or telephone 01642 342287 to request a hard copy.
