Taking part in cycling can be done as sport, recreation or travel! There are huge physical and environmental benefits of people cycling instead of taking the car.
Cycling has a variety of disciplines and can be competitive in nature for example BMX cycling, Mountain biking, Road Cycling and Track Cycling. There are however great benefits to cycling above and beyond competition. It can support with getting to work and school, help improve your fitness and maintain a healthy weight, be used as a method of play and is a great opportunity to engage in family time.
