Wheelchair Basketball Level 2 Coaching Award

Date: 26th,27th,28th and 29th March 2012

Time: 9-5

Venue: Olympia Building, Teesside University, Middlesbrough, TS1 3BA

Cost: £140 per candidate (Subsidies available)

This course is suitable for Coaches who wish to progress the FUNdamental skills of wheelchair basketball, and apply these to competitive game situations. Candidates must be the age of 18+. The candidate must hold a Coaching Assistant Award in wheelchair basketball.

At the conclusion of the course, this award will enable the Coach to:

~ Plan a series of wheelchair basketball coaching sessions;

~ Repare the coaching environment for the delivery of coaching sessions;

~ Deliver a series of coaching sessions to develop players' technical performance - 12 hours community based; 

~ Monitor and evaluate coaching sessions;

All candidates will receive the GBWBA Grade 2 candidate pack containing guidance on all content covered on the course and Wheelchair Basketball Grade 2 Coach certificate

There are subsidies available for people within the Tees Valley area in partnership with Tees Valley Sport and for people within Durham and Tyne and Wear CSP area's there may be bursaries available through the Disability Coach Bursary schemes.
