SDSC is a registered Community Amateur Sports Club

The club already has 400 members but is always keen to welcome anyone who is interested in dinghy sailing or windsurfing. The club has an active Youth & Junior Section as well as a Sailability Section which allows those with disabilities to sail in specially adapted boats. Links have been established with several local schools and the club is a member of the RYA On-board scheme aimed at encouraging youngsters to take up dinghy sailing.
