Npower North East Disability Sports Awards 17th March 2010
The npower North East Disability Sports Awards were held on Wednesday 17th March at Durham County Cricket Club. Ian Payne from ITV Tyne Tees and Border hosted the event which celebrated the sporting achievements of disabled sports people in the North East Region. Seven awards were presented as well as three npower bursaries and an EFDS Clubmark Accreditation Certificate. The winners were:
- Young Female Achiever: Eleni Papadopoulos
- Young Male Achiever: Matthew James Wylie
- Club of the Year and winner of an npower Bursary: The John Spence Tuesday Club
- npower Partnership Award The RFU: Dave Reed
- Female Personality: Lucy Ellen Gardener
- Male Personality: Will Smith
- Clubmark Accreditation Certificate: Anthony Hall from the Actionnaires
- npower bursary: Sue Clarke
- Service to Sport Award: Keith Wilcox
