Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership

Northumberland Clubs for Young People (NCYP) will be delivering the Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership which is a Nationally Accredited and recognised qualification that enables successful candidates to lead groups of people in sport/activity, under indirect supervision. The qualification teaches generic leadership skills such as organisation, planning, communication and teamwork through the medium of sport. It is a fun and practical qualification with no entrance requirements or final examinations to sit.

When: 19th Feb / 12th & 13th March (Residential) & 2nd April (£50 deposit required to secure place (returnable on completion of course)

Age: 16+ (please note: there is no upper age limit for this qualification)

Guided learning hours: 42 hours (including Emergency First Aid Training and at least 10 hours demonstration of voluntary leadership activity in the community)

How Much: Free to NCYP Members / £25 to non members (although a £50 deposit is required to secure place; returnable on completion of course)

Trained Sports Leaders provide communities with a valuable resource in the organisation of sports days, tournaments, community events and youth/sports club activities. The courses are widely recognised as providing positive engagement for young people, increasing responsibility, self-confidence and community awareness.
