Club and Coach Support Evening
Thanks to the close working relationships established over the last 12 months, on Wednesday 29th June there will be a "Club & Coach Support Evening" held at Teesside University for members of all athletics clubs across the Tees Valley to attend.
In a partnership effort between John Stacey, CCSO for England Athletics; Vickie Todd, Coach Development Manager for Tees Valley Sport; the 5 Local Authority sports development teams and Chair of Sedgefield Harriers, Ean Parsons, the evening hopes to promote the opportunities available for clubs and coaches across the Tees Valley.
During the evening there will be presentations around:
- The recruitment of more volunteers to help clubs develop and expand.
- How clubs can work together with their local partners to improve the quality of service they deliver and access funding.
- The various volunteering projects clubs can use to their advantage in the coming months.
- What support is available for coaches to develop through both England Athletics Local Coach Development Programme and the work Tees Valley Sport are involved in.
There will also be a chance for club members to speak with their local authority teams about any local issues and opportunities that might be applicable to their individual club.
The evening is aimed at anyone within the Tees Valley who is interested in developing their club, their own personal coaching or simply finding out what is available in the county. For more information about the evening and how to book a place, please see the flyer attached at the bottom of this page, or contact John Stacey at jstacey@englandathletics.org or Vickie Todd at V.Todd@tees.ac.uk.
