Certificate in Teaching Athletics

These courses are aimed at qualified and trainee teachers and those supporting the management and delivery of high quality sport and physical education in schools.

They aim to impart the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to deliver enjoyable and engaging lessons that encourage maximum participation and increase the understanding, skills, fitness and enjoyment of children.

The courses are based on the Aviva Elevating Athletics teaching resource. They last six hours, including both practical and theory, and demonstrate progression across age groups in generic and athletic-specific running, jumping and throwing activities.

Courses are FREE for one teacher per school to attend - bring their Schools resource along with them to the workshop.

Course cost £70 per additional participant and those attending have the option to purchase the Aviva Elevating Athletics resource pack or register as a member of the Aviva UKA Academy.
