Talent Identification Testing Days

British Orienteering are pleased to be able to announce the dates and locations of their Talent Identification days which will provide the opportunity for athletes aged between 14 and 18 years old, and who are eligible for a UK passport, to showcase their talent and ability. No prior experience in orienteering is required as we are looking for raw sporting talent in athletes who have the capacity to develop under the guidance of British Orienteering's Performance Director and National Talent Manager.

The testing days will take approximately four hours and during this time athletes will be put through a series of tests including a speed test, the bleep test and an orienteering specific test. The testing dates, venues and times are as follows:

Never before has this approach to identifying talent been employed by British Orienteering, so any athlete who thinks they have what it takes to become a World-Class Orienteer and is up for the challenge should sign up to the testing days by sending an email to performance@britishorienteering.org.uk with the following information by Monday 9th May 2011
