Groundwork North East is part of the Groundwork Federation working in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. In the Region the Federation covers all 12 Local Authority areas working in with local and regional partners to improve the quality of the local environment, the lives of local people and the success of local business in areas in need of investment and support.
Each year Groundwork North East is actively involved in over 500 regeneration projects. As an organisation which aims to:
- Support existing Delivery and develop a range of activities and share good practice
- Support, develop and expand the Groundwork network of partnerships to improve service delivery
- Expand Groundwork activities across the region
- Develop new programme areas with public/private/voluntary partner organisations
