Coach, leader & volunteer programme
Tees Valley Sport recognises the huge contribution coaches, leaders and volunteers make to providing Tees Valley residents with high quality opportunities to participate in sport & physical activity across all ages, levels and abilities.
They are the lifeblood of sport in the Tees Valley and Tees Valley Sport greatly values the positive impact they are making improving the quality of people's lives through the power of sport.
We are here to support Tees Valley coaches, leaders & volunteers and continually seek to provide opportunities that will help them develop to reach their personal goals.
We are pleased to announce the start of our new Tees Valley coach, leader and volunteer programme that has been developed to meet the development needs identified through consultation with our local clubs and coaches. The programme includes:

We hope that Tees Valley coaches, leaders and volunteers access the development opportunities that are provided through the programme to support them to improve their skills, knowledge and experience and continue to deliver a high quality service to Tees Valley sport and physical activity participants.
The final development evening of our coach, leader & volunteer programme is almost upon us so don't miss out on your chance to learn from the experts!
Over 30 coaches have attended the previous two and have all provided excellent feedback, as Peter Rowley, regional champion for community sport in the North East as well as a passionate runner and club coach at Quakers Running Club explains:
"I wanted to broaden and deepen my perspective as a coach. The content did not disappoint, it deepened my knowledge about planning and monitoring training, not just for myself, but for a group of runners. It also dispelled/corrected a few myths and provided the opportunity to interact with experienced presenters and other coaches - a great confidence builder."
"At just £10 for a 3hour workshop, it's great value and an opportunity to mix with coaches from other sports interested in developing athletes and enhancing performance."
