POYP Logos In Page bannerPass On Your Passion is the opportunity to thank our amazing female coaches, leaders and volunteers for passing on their passion of sport and physical activity to inspire and motivate people of all ages and all abilities to get active and also take their first steps on their coaching journey.

What is #PassOnYourPassion

#PassOnYourPassion is a campaign to raise the profile of local female coaches, leaders and volunteers taking place across 13 counties in the North of England this summer with the week long campaign taking place in the Tees Valley from Monday 5th June 2017. We will be selecting 20 female coaches, leaders and volunteers who will each select another female to pass their passion onto who they think would be a great coach, leader or volunteer and all 40 females selected will receive a exclusive and limited addition baton and goodies.

During the #PassOnYourPassion week in Tees Valley you can expect to see the following:

  1. 40 female coaches who inspire people to get active will be recognised and rewarded for their work
  2. A giant baton will be touring the Tees Valley, attending events, clubs and organisations that support female coaching and activity
  3. A hive of activity via social media #PassOnYourPassion including creative and fun ways coaches are being recognised
  4. Sharing of case studies via social media  to highlight our passionate coaches, and the great work they do

Passion Batons

We are looking to recruit 20 female coaches, leaders and volunteers from across the Tees Valley who will be recognised and rewarded for their contribution to getting people active. The successful nominees will be presented with a limited edition baton and a range of goodies from the #PassOnYourPassion project. This is a great opportunity to highlight and recognise the great work they do, whether this is coaching elite athletes or coaching a group of beginners, we value it all and want a range of different levels, abilities, sports and experience of coaches, leaders and volunteers to be our role models.

The passing of the batons will be posted via Social Media (Twitter, Facebook) and we want to see as many photos and videos as possible. Also the best photo or video of the passing of the batons will receive a prize, so the more creative the better!

Once the 20 coaches, leaders and volunteers have been given their baton, they now need to pass on their passion and select someone else they feel they would like to inspire into becoming a coach or have just started on the coaching journey and present them with another limited edition baton. We will then end up with a total of 40 #PassOnYourPassion coaches in the Tees Valley.

First of all we need your help

Do you want to tell your coach that they are amazing and that you appreciate them?  Or maybe you know someone in your organization that does an amazing job at motivating and inspiring people to be active? We are asking the people across the Tees Valley to let us know of any female sports coaches/leaders or volunteers who have inspired you to get involved in sport, not just playing but maybe volunteering at your local club, school, college, university, community centre or organisation.

Nominate your coach below by Friday 19th May 2017.
