Stockton on Tees Volunteer and Coach Support Funding
The Stockton Borough Council's Play Your Part Volunteer & Coach Support Scheme Funding is an NHS Stockton funded grants programme that is open to volunteers & coaches who reside or volunteer within a sports club within the borough of Stockton-on-Tees.
The aim of the scheme is to support the development of a more robust infrastructure for sport and active leisure by providing an opportunity for sports volunteers and coaches to access professional development opportunities.
We award grants of up to £200 in a simple and straight forward way with applications being received until 19th August 2011. Grants will be awarded in three rounds via a grants panel, which will consist of a group of impartial members that will meet during January, April and August 2011 to assess applications. All applicants will be informed after each meeting of the panel as to whether their submission has been successful.
More than one application can be made, however priority will be given to applicants who have not previously been a beneficiary of this scheme. Unsuccessful applications do not need to be submitted into subsequent rounds, if appropriate they will be reconsidered automatically.
Please be aware that any funding awarded to you through this grant application process must be spent within one year of receipt of the funding.
Applicants will need to identify how many people will benefit from the receipt of the funding and how many voluntary hours will be delivered. Preference will be given to applications that are the most beneficial to the community of Stockton-on-Tees. Volunteers & coaches that engage with hard to reach groups will be looked upon more favourably and the application should clearly state ways in which you will achieve this.
