Redcar and Cleveland Public Health Grant Scheme

The Public Health Grant Scheme has been set up to encourage and enable voluntary/community sector groups and public sector partners to undertake projects that will deliver sport physical activity and contribute to tackling a range of health issues identified as priorities, targeted at improving lifestyle and reducing health inequalities.

The aim of the Grant Scheme is to increase the proportion of people who are undertaking physical activity at a level and regularity beneficial to health. The Scheme will support a wide range of physical activities and not just sporting activities. The Scheme is not intended to support projects which aim to improve sporting performance.

The Redcar and Cleveland Physical Activity Network will manage the allocation of funding provided by the Primary Care Trust to provide physical activity opportunities. Grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 can be awarded. Awards over £10,000 that attract significant match funding may be considered for approval by the Redcar and Cleveland Community Sport Network.

The deadline for this round of the Public Health Grant Scheme is Friday 10th December at 12:00pm.
