Funding for Clubs
Each of the local authorities in the Tees Valley helps coordinate a Community Sports Network (CSNs). These networks have been established to help develop sport and physical activity, and can help support clubs with funding ideas.

Sport England Small Grants Programme
The Sport England Small Grants Programme has been set up to support local community sport projects which seek to increase participation, sustain participation or develop opportunities for people to excel at their chosen sport. More details
The Sport England Sportsmatch programme increases investment in community sport by matching new sponsorship money pound for pound. More details
Cash 4 Clubs is a sports funding scheme which gives clubs a unique chance to apply for grants to improve facilities, purchase new equipment, gain coaching qualifications, and generally invest in the sustainability of their club. More details
Enable Sport Programme - Caudwell Children
The "Enable Sport" programme has been launched by Caudwell Children, in partnership with Barclays Wealth, to fund adapted sports equipment for gifted and talented disabled children age 18 and under participating in competitive sport. More details
The MARS Refuel Fund is offering support with anything from equipment costs, to improving training grounds and club houses. More details
SITA Trust Enhancing Communities Programme - Small Grants
The Small Grants Scheme provides funding for physical improvements to community facilities including sport and recreation facilities up to £10,000. Any not-for-profit organisation including community groups, parish councils, charities, local authorities and voluntary organisations may apply. Projects must have a total cost of £20,000 or less. Sport England, JustGiving, and CCPR have come together to make it easier for clubs to raise money and claim Gift Aid, enabling volunteers to spend more time on sport and less time on administration. More details.
The Foundation is now providing support to Clubmark Clubs for grassroots sports projects. 50% grants of £500 to £2,000 (total project cost £5,000) are available for a range of projects including equipment, CRB checks, coaching and umpiring qualifications. More details.
Big Lottery Fund (BIG) - Reaching Communities
BIG want to fund projects that respond to needs identified by communities and those that fund projects that help those most in need including those people or groups who are hard to reach. More details.
Led by a team of passionate young people, Live UnLtd will provide other young people with exciting opportunities to start up their own businesses, sports teams, recreational groups and host events after being given funding of up to £2,000 per individual, coupled with a model of non-financial support from a designated development manager in their region. Preparatory Action in the Field of Sport
The European Commission has launched a call for proposals to support its 2010 Annual Work Programme for the preparatory action in the field of sport and for special annual events. A total of £2.5 million is available to support transnational projects aimed at identifying suitable networks and good practices in a number of areas including promoting volunteering in sport. Groups of individuals as well as small community and voluntary groups within the UK that want to improve their communities can apply for funding through the Wakeham Trust. More details.

Sport England - Funding for Innovative Sports Projects
Sport England has announced that its Sustainable Investment in Communities Fund will re-open for applications on the 26th October until the 21st December 2010. More details.
