Dickie Bird Foundation
The vision of the Foundation is to assist young people under 18 years of age to participate, to the best of their ability, in the sport of their choice irrespective of their social circumstances, culture or ethnicity, and to ensure that, in doing so, they improve their chances both inside and outside sport.
Who is eligible?
Individuals in schools, clubs, universities, colleges, sporting societies or sports associations are eligible to apply for funding. Projects must take place in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). Individuals must be under the age of 18 years at the time of making the application.
How much can you bid for?
There are no maximum grant levels stated in the guidelines, although it is expected that grants will not exceed £5,000.
Deadline?
Applications may be submitted at any time and are assessed regularly throughout the year.
Useful information: Application forms are available to download from the website. If, after submitting an application, nothing is heard from the Foundation with 10 days of the relevant meeting date, applicants should assume that they have been unsuccessful. Meetings are held throughout the year; dates are posted on the website throughout the year.
