Club Benefits Package
Tees Valley Sport can offer clubs an excellent level of support through our Club Benefits Package. Available to most sports clubs in the Tees Valley the package on offer provides a number of key benefits including;
Training support to Club Coaches, Volunteers and Officials
Up to 8 free places on the Tees Valley Sport Generic Course Programme. Courses will be held across the Tees Valley from May 2010- March 2011 and include;
• Safeguarding and Protecting Children
• Emergency First Aid
• Equity in your Coaching
• Coaching disabled performers
Up to 6 free places on Tees Valley Sport club and coach network events. These events will include workshops on the following;
• Club development
• Funding
• Sports Science for club coaches.
Your club will also have priority access to the Tees Valley Sport Coach Development Manager to help with club coach training and development needs. This will include free access to school sport coach training.
Attracting new volunteers
Assistance with the promotion of club volunteer opportunities through Step into Sport Young Volunteer programme and Recruit into Coaching programme. This could help your club attract new volunteers and also help identify training opportunities for potential new player or parent volunteers at your club.
Links with the Sports Universities in North East England volunteer scheme. This could provide you with student volunteer coaches to assist with coaching delivery at your club.
Promoting your club and attracting new members
Promotion of your club through regional Sports Club database
Access to a contacts database to help strengthen links with schools, colleges and local authority Sports Development Teams
Access to Tees Valley Sport photographic library. This could help your club with a variety of promotional material such as website development, posters and flyers.
Priority access to Teesside University student placement projects that could involve website design and promotion & marketing.
Funding
Regular updates on funding opportunities through free access to Tees Valley Sport Club eshot/newsletters. Your club will also receive support in general funding bids through officers from the Tees Valley Sport team
Priority help with the development of funding bids through the Sport Unlimited programme. Funding is potentially available to help your club recruit new junior members through short taster sessions.
